James Ray Beemer

James Ray Beemer, age 70, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at his residence.  James was born on January 14, 1952, in Huntington, IN, to the late Gene and Barbara (Metz) Beemer.

James was a graduate of Huntington North High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed contractor all his life. James was hardworking and loved to build things out of wood. He loved working on his old Mercedes, riding motorcycles, traveling and taking videos and pictures. He also enjoyed gardening and canning. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren whenever he could.

James is survived by one daughter, Jamie Beemer, Santa Clarita, CA; one son, James Beemer, Fort Wayne, IN; five brothers, Kent (Diana) Farthing, Columbia City, IN, Richard Beemer, Joseph Beemer, Patrick Beemer, Daniel (Samantha) Beemer, all of Huntington, IN; three sisters, Jennifer Beemer, Rebecca (Richard) Hosier-Bair, Barbara (Tracy) Beemer-Hill, all of Huntington, IN; and two grandchildren, Kyleena Raylin Beemer-Hovey, Remington Ray Rece; and he was a father figure for many years to Tavarius “T.J.” McNair, Kansas City, MO.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN, 46750.
