Gerald "Jerry" E. Stoltz

Gerald  “Jerry” E. Stoltz, age 86, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.

Jerry was born on May 21, 1938, in Huntington, IN, to the late Andrew and Dorothy (Scher) Stoltz.  

Jerry proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957-1961.  He was employed at Friction Material/H.K. Porter in Huntington until it closed.   He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN, and a former member of the Horseshoe Club, Moped Club, CB Club, where he was known as the “Huntington Drummer”, and he played drums for the Country Music Playboys and Four Steps band.     

Jerry is survived by one daughter, Delayna (Larry) Carnes, FL; three sons, Paul “Drew” (Dianna) Stoltz, Denny (Tiffany) Stoltz, Darren Stoltz all of Huntington, IN; one brother, Donald A. (Valarie) Stoltz, Columbia City, IN; and two sisters, Jean Ann Buzzard, Huntington, IN, Janet (Mike) Berghoff, Big Lake, IN;  9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Along with Jerry’s parents he was preceded in death by one son, Chris Stoltz.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., all at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, Father Tony Steinacker presiding.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
