Gary L. Bowers

Gary L. Bowers Sr., age 75, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 peacefully at his residence. He worked at Maaco (General Aluminum) for 40 years.  He enjoyed collecting model cars and working on anything with wheels or a motor.

Gary was born August 24, 1946, in Huntington, a son of Hayden O. and Clara (Parrett) Bowers.  He is survived by a daughter Amy Bowers, 2 sons Gary “Jake” Bowers Jr. and Jeff (Kim) Bowers all of Huntington, a sister Roxanna (Bob) Shumate of Huntington 6 grandchildren Stephanie Bowers, Jacob Bowers, Josh Dyke, Tasia (Cody) Harbaugh, Dalton Heister, Devin Heister, and 2 great-grandchildren Teagan Herrick and Noah Bowers.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Tackett, 6 brothers Richard, Hayden, Jack, Norman, Larry, and Donald Bowers, and 3 sisters Evelyn Raber, Velene Gibler, and Juanita Holley.

There will be no visitation or services.
