Gabriel "Gabe" Scott Carson

Gabriel “Gabe” Scott Carson, 45, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, following a vehicular accident in Huntington County.

Gabe was born on April 17, 1977, in Anderson, IN. Gabe is survived by his father, Billy (Angie) Carson, Yorktown, IN; and his mother, Marilyn (Ron) Adams Roehr, Marion, IN. Gabe is survived by his wife of 20 years, Brooks (Halstead) Carson who resides in Huntington. 

Along with his wife, parents and step-parents, he is survived by his son, Aden Carson, Huntington, IN; one sister, Stacey (Max) Baird, Terre Haute, IN; step-brother, Cameron Reoch, Cedar Lake, IN; step-sister, Chloe Reoch, Greenville, NC; nieces and nephews, Kainan Halstead, Skye Cobb, Solomon Johnson, Isaac Wright, Kameron Baird, Dylan Baird; and several aunts and uncles.

Gabe was a 1995 graduate of Frankton High School, Frankton, IN. He played baseball and was the pitcher for IUPUI.  He finished and received his Associates degree from PFW.   Gabe was a team leader at General Motors for 23 years.  He was a member of the UAW 2209, Roanoke, IN.

Gabe had an inquisitive spirit which continued to blossom into various interests throughout his love of astronomy, sports, and quantum physics; but, music was his backbone. He passed this strong foundation to his son, Aden. Any desirable trait people admire, Gabe portrayed it and placed the same values upon his son and frankly anyone around him. He coached about any sport his son was involved in and was out there for every kid on the team. He also loved and supported his son’s music endeavors through the years.  Gabe enjoyed boating and being on the water.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

A private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the college fund for Aden Carson in c/o Midwest America Credit Union, 2835 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
