Eula "Sug" Mae (Elliott) Tackett

Eula Mae Tackett, age 73, of Huntington, IN formerly of Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her residence in Huntington, IN.

Eula Mae was born on August 18, 1951, in McDowell, KY, to Pink Clines Elliot and Esta Lea (Osborne) Elliott.  Her parents preceded her in death.  Eula married Ishmell Tackett on May 10, 1969, and he preceded her in death in 2005.

Mrs. Tackett worked for Triad Utrad in Huntington, IN.  She attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Huntington, IN, and was baptized at the Old Time Baptist Church in Kentucky.

She is survived by her Fiancé  David L. Schnitz, Huntington, IN; her two sons, Mathew Tackett and Mark Tackett both of Huntington; and one sister, Judy (Bryan) Morgan of Clay City, KY; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was Preceded by one son, Paul Tackett and sisters; Sharon Kay Johnson, Joyce Lafferty, Dottie Johnson Geraldine, Maxine and Venda Gaye Elliott.

There will be a visitation on Thursday,  January 23, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McElhaney Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St,  Huntington, IN  46750.

A funeral service will be Friday, January 24 at 11:00 am with two hours of calling prior from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

The burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery , Huntington, IN.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paradigm Hospice in care of McElhaney Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St.  Huntington, IN  46750.
