Enid Janice (Haneline) Pauley

Enid “Jan” Janice Pauley,97, of Huntington, IN, passed away on July 8, 2023, at Waters of Huntington, Huntington, IN.

Mrs. Pauley was born on October 26, 1925, in Huntington, IN, to Verlin and Mildred (Crosser) Haneline.  Her parents preceded her in death.   She married Jason “Jack” Thompson.  He preceded her in death.  She married Chester Pauley on October 12, 1966.  He preceded her in death on May 21, 2011.

Jan was a homemaker, as well as working at Memcor (E-Systems).

Survivors include three daughters, Angelica Crouch, Fort Wayne, IN; Evelyn Pauley, Rio Rancho, NM; and Sylvia (Russell) Kaufman, Huntington, IN; granddaughter, Monica Kaufman, Bloomington, IN; and granddaughters, Amy (Jeff) Eltzroth, Angie Kish, Honesty, Megan and Erin.  She is also survived by her great niece, Lori (Fred) Ellis, Georgia and great nephew, Tim Hoke, Fort Wayne, IN.

Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Scott Thompson; one brother, Leonard Haneline; and two sisters, Betty Hoke and Eloise Hoover.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

A Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750 with Pastor Jack Mooris officiating.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN.
