Emily S. (Gordon) Baker

Emily S. Baker, age 62, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Envive of Huntington.  

Emily was born on July 28, 1961, in Huntington, IN, to the late Robert A. and Josephine J. (Coughlin) Gordon. She married Eric Baker on May 17, 1989, and he survives and resides in Huntington.

Emily was a 1980 graduate of Huntington North High School. Emily worked 10 years at Marsh in the deli and bakery and also 10 years at Kroger in the deli and bakery.  She loved to do yarn crafts, sudoku puzzles, and enjoyed tracing back her family genealogy to the 1700’s.

Along with her husband, Eric, she is survived by one son, Alex (Shania) Baker; three daughters, Erica (Joshua) Price, Katie (Alan Davis) Baker, Tosha (Ryan Lehman) Baker, all of Huntington; two brothers, Edwin Gordon, Huntington, John Gordon, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Phyllis Moore, Huntington, Beth Ann (Bill) Martin, Andrews, IN, Marilyn Dennison, Huntington; and 10 grandchildren, Jett, Nevaeh, Faith, Raegan, Bailey, Rexton, Cora, Hayden, Everleigh, and Lucas.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Gordon.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
