Dorothy Marie (Shockome) DeLaGrange

Dorothy Marie DeLaGrange, age 70, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington, IN.

Dorothy was born on March 15, 1956, in Corpus Christi, TX, to the late Joseph and Martha (Sprowl) Shockome.  She married Daniel DeLaGrange on April 15, 1978, and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2020.

Dorothy was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by three sons, Nathan DeLaGrange, Greenfield, IN, Adam DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN and Jacob (Taylor) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN; one daughter, Danielle (Kelli) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Shockome, and Mary (Bobby) Ivey, both of Huntington, IN; and her mother-in-law, Mary DeLaGrange, of Huntington, IN.

Along with her husband, Daniel, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Buzzard; and siblings, Roseann Green, Dale Shockome, Joseph Shockome, Barbara Perrigue, and Sara Sumwalt.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 8:45 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

Calling hours will follow the Rosary on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
