Dorothy Jean (Draper) Cutting

Dorothy Jean Cutting, age 88, of Huntington, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Tipton Place in Huntington.  

Dorothy was born on March 14, 1936, in Huntington, IN, to the late Donald and Gwendolene (Bowers) Draper. She married Alton Cutting on August 31, 1957, and he passed away on October 30, 2009.

Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Huntington High School.  She was a bailiff with the Huntington County Courts for Judge Mark McIntosh for many years. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge #837 in Huntington.  Dorothy was a Chicago Cubs fanatic and loved her pets.

Dorothy is survived by three grandchildren, Lee (Stephanie) Cutting, Christian Cutting, and Briana Cutting, all of Huntington, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Cutting and Adalyn Cutting.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Cutting.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750, with Pastor Jason Fields officiating.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN.
