Doris Meyer Obituary

Doris E. Meyer, 93, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 9:38 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mrs. Meyer was born January 23, 1927, in Huntington County to Ernest and Gladys (Jasper) Beck. Her parents preceded her in death. Doris married Eldon Meyer at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on May 31, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2010.

Doris graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1945. Doris was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Nix Settlement in Columbia City, IN.

Doris is survived by one son, John (Janet) Meyer, Huntington; two daughters: Nancy Norris, Ossian, IN, Carol (Dale) Rapson, Columbia City, IN; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Eldon, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Norris; two brothers, Eugene Beck, Louis Beck; and two sisters, Maxine Weinley and Wilma Beeman.

To honor the wishes of Doris there will be a private family service and burial at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery, Nix Settlement in Columbia City, IN.
