Doris J. Goodyear

Doris J. Goodyear, 95, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Heritage Pointe of Warren.

Doris was born March 21, 1928, in Huntington, IN, to the late Paul D. and Edna Lyle (Vielhaurer) Kocher.  She married Glen Fulton May 4, 1946 and he passed away in February 1976. She then married Freeman Goodyear in November 1986 and he passed away in 1992.

Doris was a member of Union Church  and the Rebekah Lodge #37 in Andrews, IN.  She worked at Double Dip, Baxters and as a welder and then an inspector for Memcor (E-Systems) for 21 years, where she retired in 1981.

She is survived by one son, Rodger (Sally) Fulton, North Richland Hills, TX; three daughters, Patricia (Donald) Winkler, Beaverton, OR; Carolyn Harvey, Fort Wayne, IN; and Marcia (Kevin) Klodzen, Gravois Mills, MO; one daughter-in-law, Pam Fulton, Fort Wayne, IN; seventeen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Miriam Dudek, Melbourne, FL and Peggy Cousins, Sebring, FL and a sister-in-law, Sharon Kocher Bostic.                         

She was preceded in death by one son, Chris Fulton and one daughter and son-in-law , Linda and Roger Eisenmann, four grandchildren, Joshua Winkler, Jared Winkler, Carmen Harvey and Kyle Klodzen, and two brothers, Bill Kocher and Michael Kocher and one sister, Norma Pearson.   

An hour of calling will be held on Friday July 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
