Diane M. (Walker) Tackett

Diane M. Tackett, age 49, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.

Diane was born on March 22, 1974, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Jack Easterday and Paula Walker.  Diane married James “Jim” Tackett in 1993, and he survives.

Diane was a 1992 graduate of Huntington North High School. Diane was a waitress for many years at Bob Evans and Pizza Junction in Huntington.

Along with her husband, Jim, she is survived by two sons, Christopher Tackett, James Tackett, II; one daughter, Mary Tackett, all of Huntington, IN; and three grandchildren, Thomas Tackett, Malcolm Tackett and Erik Wilson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St. Huntington, IN. 

A burial with immediate family will follow at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
