Dennis Alonzo Beeching, 47, of Bellevue, NE, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE.
Mr. Beeching, known by Alonzo, was born on November 30, 1974, in Huntington, IN, to Dennis Michael Beeching, Fort Wayne, IN and Felicia (Siemik) Bertin Rocha, West Des Moines, IA. His parents survive.
Alonzo was homeschooled for nine years. He attended Charity Baptist Christian School in Huntington and North Manchester High School where he played football, baseball and played trombone in the North Manchester Symphony Orchestra for several years. After graduation, he attended Indiana University in Fort Wayne (IPFW). While at IPFW, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1994 and served through 1996. Alonzo was owner of a trucking business, JMP Transport, LLC, regionally based in the Midwest. He loved being on the road.
Mr. Beeching is remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, sibling to seven brothers and sisters, and part of a large and caring extended family.
Along with his parents, Alonzo is survived by four daughters: Brookelynn Huffman, Fort Wayne, IN, Jakylah Beeching, Joliet, IL, Maddison Beeching and Peyton Beeching, both of Bellevue, NE; and two pre-school granddaughters, Kaelynn Walter and Zara Walter, of Fort Wayne, IN.
He is survived by companion Siviah Henry; five sisters, Hannah Beeching, Eugene, OR, Holli Beeching, Birmingham, AL, Sascha Staley, Waukee, IA, Stacia Godinez, Eugene, OR, Ashley (Ahmed) Alsabah, Kuwait City, Kuwait; and two brothers, Brett Beeching, Phoenix, AZ, and Jordan Beeching, Seattle, WA.
Also Alonzo is survived by his uncles, David (Sharolyn) Beeching, Amboy, IN, John Beeching, Huntington, IN, Joseph Beeching, Huntington, IN, and Paul (Susan) Siemik; Flower Mound, TX; by his aunts, Marilyn (Ken) Hartman, Huntington, IN, Gloria Burkhart, Fishers, IN, and Susan Zahm; Huntington, IN, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Beeching was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas C. and Elda (Crocesi) Beeching of Huntington, IN; maternal grandparents, John and Betty Siemik, Huntington, IN; maternal grandmother, Mary Catherine (Gill) Hyatt, Tuscon, AZ; and uncles, Thomas “Tommy” Beeching, Huntington, IN, and Robert Zahm, Huntington, IN.
Pallbearers are Brett Beeching, Jordan Beeching, Taj Neeley, Titus Neeley, Isaiah Simmons and Matthew Sandoval.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
Burial will follow the service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a trust fund set up for the four children. Proceeds can be mailed in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
