Debra A. (Shockome) Lewis

Debra A. Lewis, 67, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Markle Health & Rehabilitation, Markle, IN.

Debra was born on June 30, 1954, in Huntington, Indiana, to the late Francis and Ruby (Ogden) Shockome.  She married James A. Lewis on October 24, 1992, he survives and resides in Huntington.

Debra was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington. 

Debra is survived by her husband and one son, Butch (Melissa) Gearhart, Hartford City, IN; one daughter, Chasity (Brett) Nartker, Fort Wayne, IN; two step-daughters, Kristi (Todd) Armstrong, Angola, IN, Misti (Chris) Perkins, Spencerville, IN; one sister, Pat (William) Wright, Anderson, IN; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jay Shockome, Michael Shockome, Francis Shockome, Dan Shockome; and one sister, Mary Gibeau.

There will be no services.

A private burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
