Daniel Wayne Burnau

Daniel Wayne Burnau, age 70, of Andrews, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN.           

Mr. Burnau was born on December 6, 1951, in Huntington, Indiana, to Jed Burnau and Barbara (Simon) Spots. His parents preceded him in death. He married Deborah (Herrick) Riggars on March 24, 2003. She survives and resides in Andrews, IN.

Dan worked for 14 years at Bendix warehouse in shipping.  He retired from Carter Lumber after 20 years and was a manager for 15 years. Dan attended Huntington Baptist Church and he loved to fish and hunt.

Along with his wife, Deborah, Dan is survived by one son, Jeffrey Burnau, Marion, IN; two daughters, Renee Wood, North Webster, IN, Chantell Burnau, Huntington, IN; one step-son, Aaron (Jessica) Riggars, Huntington, IN; two sisters, Pamela (Junior) Cline, Darlene Burnau, both of LaFontaine, IN; 7 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Burnau.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN  46750.

Additional calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Amos Albright officiating.

Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
