Curtis Howard McClanahan "Croucher"

Curtis Howard McClanahan “Croucher”, age 38, of Warsaw, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Curtis was born on March 21, 1987, in Marion, IN, to Monty and Sheila (McClanahan) Croucher of Andrews, IN. 

Curtis was a 2005 graduate of Huntington North High School.  He was a CNA and loved caring for others. He was funny, loving and compassionate.  He enjoyed the outdoors, walking, hiking, camping, fishing, collecting knives and singing. He loved his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He lived life to the fullest and loved Jesus.

Along with his parents, Curtis is survived by his twin sister, Amanda (Tristin) Tackett, Huntington, IN, and sisters, Colette (Joe) Radtke, Huntington, IN, Alesheia Stokes of Nappanee, IN; his loving girlfriend, Kendra Konieczny, Warsaw, IN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was a loving Uncle to Kaleb and Josh Tackett, Owen and Hailie Radtke, Isabell and Brayden Oswalt, Cayden Miller, and Courtney and Michael Whitt.

Curtis was preceded in death by grandparents, Bernice Lenord Croucher, June and Paul McClanahan, William “Bill” and Violet Croucher; Aunts, Susie Francis Croucher, Sharon Croucher, Valerie Croucher, Nicole Scalf; Uncles, Terry and Bill Croucher; and cousins, John Francis and Kelbee Croucher.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750, with John Huff officiating.  The family has asked that everyone dress casually in Colts colored attire.

A private burial will be at a later date.
