Cory Jay Shockome

Cory Jay Shockome, age 34, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his residence.

Cory was born on May 7, 1989, in Huntington, IN, to the late Michael D. Shockome and Patricia (Voght) Griffith.

Cory graduated from Huntington North High School.  He was working at Transmetco LKQ as a furnace operator and Team Leader. Cory always helped others and was a genuine self-less person. He loved all things sports, especially football and the Chicago Bears.

Cory is survived by one son, Levi West; one daughter, Tessa Prilaman, Roanoke, IN; one brother, Brad (Shilo) Stoltz, Decatur, IN; two sisters, Elisha Martin, Huntington, Michelle Ingle; and nieces and nephews, Braxton Southerland, Ashlynn Hunt, Avery Elzey, Chandler Ripley, Dayton Fugate, Maverick Fugate, Braiden Martin, Jaelynn Martin, Kailyn Martin, Aryana Elzey, Leighella Shaw, Nelleaha Shaw, and Aurie Martin.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

The burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
