Charles “Chuck” E. Fuller, age 89, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Chuck was born on December 10, 1936, in Lima, OH. He was the son of the late Warren and Mary (McCullough) Fuller. He married Mary Ellen Hoppe on December 3, 1960, and she survives and resides in Huntington.
Chuck was a 1955 graduate of Oakwood High School, Oakwood, OH, and proudly served in the United States Navy Reserves. He graduated with an associate degree from International Business College in Fort Wayne. Chuck was an insurance salesman, bail bondsman and drove school bus for the Huntington County Community School Corporation for many years before retiring on April 12, 2013. Chuck was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Huntington and was “Tusnelda” with the Joy Pleaser Clowns, and a former member of the Exchange Club and Huntington Lions Club. Chuck and his wife also owned and operated “The Trading Post” restaurant in Bippus and “The King and Queen” restaurant in Roanoke for many years.
Along with his wife, Mary Ellen, he is survived by one daughter, Linda Crider, Huntington, IN; one son, Mark (Chris) Fuller, Indianapolis, IN; 6 grandchildren, Thomas Crider, Ian Crider, Andrew Crider, Brianna (Paul) Walter, Stephen Fuller, Meghan Fuller; and one great-grandchild.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Keith Crider; and three brothers and three sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 648 N. Lafontaine Street, Huntington, IN, with Rev. Timothy Lorenz officiating.
Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
