Cathy Jo (Taylor) Mills

Cathy Jo Mills, age 68, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at her residence.

Cathy was born on September 1, 1954, in Bluffton, IN, to John and Treva (Lambert) Taylor.  Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives. She married David I. Mills on August 18, 1979, and he survives and resides in Roanoke.

Cathy was a 1972 graduate of Huntington North High School. She worked at Pic-A-Nut/Hunckler Products, and Wabash Technology in the office.  Cathy also worked part-time for four years at Central Christian Church as the office secretary.  Cathy was active in 4-H, AMICITIA Home-Ec Club, she enjoyed crocheting, reading books, working with her flowers and most of all spending time with her family and being a grandma.

Cathy is survived by her husband, David; mother, Treva Taylor, Huntington, IN; two daughters, Sarah Mills, Laura Mills, both of Roanoke, IN; one brother, Wayne (Delena) Taylor, Angola, IN; one sister, Connie (Mark) Striggle, Huntington, IN; two grandchildren, Jaxson Mills, Clayton Mills; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783, with Pastor Chris Hayden officiating.

A Graveside Burial will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
