Carolyn S. Prescott, age 84, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at her residence. She was born on January 20, 1940, in Celina, OH, to the late William and Virginia (Blakely) Jones. She married Jerry A. Prescott on May 30, 1960, and he survives and resides in Huntington.
Carolyn was a 1958 graduate of Coldwater High School in Michigan and a graduate of Western Michigan University School of Nursing. She was a nurse and had worked for Pathfinder Services for over 20 years. Carolyn was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church in Roanoke, and she enjoyed making quilts for Wounded Warriors.
Along with her husband, Jerry, she is survived by one son, Mark A. (Kimberly) Prescott, West Henrietta, NY; two daughters, Julie (Eric) Stouder, Andrews, IN, Sarah (Doug) Wagner, Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Sandra (Robert) Behnke, Oviedo, FL; four grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Seefried, Hannah Prescott, Emma Wagner, Ava Wagner; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William E. “Butch” Jones, III.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, with Pastor Darrell Weigelt officiating.
A private family burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
