Carol S. (Williams) Bauer

Carol S. Bauer, 79, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Heritage of Huntington.                                              

Mrs. Bauer was born on March 24, 1942, in Marion, OH, to Clay and Lorene (Jones) Williams. Her parents preceded her in death at an early age and she was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late Ralph and Bertha Jones.  She married John L. Bauer on July 26, 1962, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2019.

Mrs. Bauer graduated from Harding High School in Marion, OH.   She was a housewife and waitressed at People’s Place and Moe’s.  Carol graduated from Michiana College with a medical assistant degree and enjoyed working for Dr. Bader in Fort Wayne.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Huntington, IN.

Carol is survived by three sons, Jay Bauer, Fort Wayne, IN, Jerry (Jill) Bauer, Huntington, IN, Justin (Jennifer) Bauer, Fort Wayne, IN; one daughter, Kimberly (Wade) Stuckey, Fort Wayne, IN; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Bauer.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Patrick, Chandler, Conner, Sullivan, Syler, Harper, Logan, Brooklyn, Roland & Charlotte.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, James Bauer; one brother, Raymond Neal Williams; and three sisters, Janis Williams, Betty Zinkhon and Nancy Lust.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at McElhaney- Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.

A private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Huntington County Humane Society or Visiting Nurse & Hospice in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
