Briar Michael Strle

Briar Michael Strle, age 29, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 3:54pm, in Huntington, IN, as a result of a tragic automobile accident.

Briar was born on August 21, 1995, in Huntington, IN, to Carl Strle and April (Rakoczy) Strle. His parents survive. 

Mr. Strle was the owner/operator of Drain Medic LLC here in Huntington. A member of Life Church, Huntington, he spent many pro bono hours using his gifts to serve others: the Humane Shelter, Boys & Girls Club, Men’s and Women’s local shelters, Place of Grace, among others. He was a firm advocate for Huntington United Against Overdose, as well.

He is survived by his mother April (Rakoczy) Strle, Huntington, IN, father Carl (fiancé Roxanne Bratcher) Strle, Kentucky, grandmother Jacquelyn (fiancé Daryle Prather) Riggers, Huntington, spouse Celsey Brinneman, children Wyatt Thacker, Faith Thacker, and Aubrey Strle, two brothers Levi Newsome, Andrews, and Devan Wallace, Huntington; as well, several aunts and uncles: Tim (Kim) Gray, Huntington, Ryan (Babette) Rakoczy, Huntington, Maxine (Dennis) Teague, Arkansas, and Tony (Lynn) Strle, Hammond, IN; in addition, niece Elle Helvie and nephew Benjamin Helvie, and many cousins. Mr. Strle is predeceased by a grandfather Gary J. Riggers; a brother, Max Benfer Strle and aunt and uncle, Wilma and Bill Land.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, January 29, from 1 to 5pm at Life Church, Huntington, 900 E State Street, with a service following at 5pm. Pastor Taylor Petre presiding.

A private service and burial will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
