Brad "Gator" E. Scher

Brad  E. “Gator” Scher, 60, Andrews, IN, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at IU Heath Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

Brad was born on April 22, 1962, in Huntington, IN, to Eugene and Elizabeth “Betty” (Krumanaker) Scher.  His parents preceded him in death.   Brad married Patricia Anne Baker on January 4, 2003, in Huntington, IN.  Mrs. Scher survives and resides in Andrews.

Brad was a 1980 graduate of Huntington North High School. Brad retired from Shuttleworth in July, 2021, as an assembler/mechanic for over 40 years.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1014, Huntington, IN.

Along with his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two brothers, Alan (Wilma) Scher, Chris (Mia) Scher, both of Huntington, IN; and two nieces, Hannah (Nick) Bailey and Gracie (Jeremiah) Doctor.

Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, followed by the calling hours from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.

Additional calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN  46750, with Father Thomas Zehr officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriner’s Hospital or to Masses in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
