Bonnie Louise Teusch, age 84, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 4:15 a.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
Bonnie was born on July 15, 1941, in Huntington, IN, to the late Chester William and Helen Elizabeth (Creager) Beekman. She married Russell “Dick” Richard Teusch in February 1963, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2012.
Bonnie was a beautician in her early years and worked at Walgreens for over 20 years until her retirement. Bonnie was known for her love of Genealogy, singing, basket weaving, playing the dulcimer and was a history buff. She was an amazing artist that loved making ceramics, oil painting and sketching. Bonnie loved nature, bird watching and gardening. She was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington.
Bonnie is survived by her nine children: Polly Ann (Steve) Springer, Fort Wayne, IN; Richard “Andy” (Bettina) Teusch, Andrews, IN; Elizabeth Jane “Liz” Learned, North Manchester, IN; Nellie Jo (Dennis) Hieb, Jeffersonville, IN; Matthew Beekman (April) Teusch, Huntington, IN; Nathan William (Rachel) Teusch, Pekin, IN; Margaret Louise “Meg” Teusch, Huntington, IN; Jennifer Louise (Jerid) Miller, Carmel, IN; and Sarah Jane (Chris) Morgan, Corydon, IN; 25 grandchildren: Zachary, Adam, and Jacob Springer, Russell and Ryan Teusch, Michael Learned, Riley, Tyler and Olivia Hieb, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Levi and Luke Teusch, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nathan, and Leah Teusch, Jarrod and Helena Davenriner, August, Lucy and Kilian Miller, Matthew Gipe, Lexi and Lincoln Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Carrigan and Garrett Springer, Willow Miller, Easton Springer, Sadie and Archer Rosenfeld, Saylor and Atticus McCune, George Ghali and Benny Brackenbury, and Harrison Davenriner.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Emily Katherine Teusch; one sister, Mary Anne Beekman; and son-in-law, Harold Learned.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Father Tony Steinacker presiding.
Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington 46750.
