Anna W. (Hetzler) White

Anna W. White, 79, formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, IN.

Anna was born on July 5, 1944, in Germany to the late Johann and Berta (Joachimsthaler) Hetzler.  Anna married Ernest White on May 7, 1965.  He survives and resides in North Manchester.

Anna graduated high school in 1958 in Germany. She worked at the Hoosier Drive-in for 37 years.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Post #85 and the Moose Lodge #837. Anna was a devoted military wife for 22 years.  She was an avid bingo player and avid gardener.   She loved her grandchildren; they were the love of her life.

Along with her husband she is survived by one son, Charles G. (Patricia) White, Huntington; one daughter, Theresa (Tim) Krumanaker, Bippus, IN; two sisters, Edletraud Hiller, Angela Batz, both of Germany; two grandchildren, Samantha and (Zach Hall) Krumanaker, Rebecca White; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, German Hetzler; and one grandchild, Travis White.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN  46750.                       

A Graveside Burial will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Horeb Cemetery, (Rock Creek Township) Uniondale, IN.
