Amanda Sue Krauter, age 38, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Sage Bluff Nursing Facility in Fort Wayne, IN.
Amanda was born on June 15, 1984, in Janesville, WI, to Jeffery and Cindy (Haggerty) Krauter who survives and resides in Roanoke.
Amanda attended Huntington North High School. She attended day services with Pathfinder Services in Huntington. Amanda loved watching Barney, listening to music, and loved laughter and fun people. She loved to ride on her Ranger and snowmobile and loved her dogs Madie and Lambeau. More than anything, Amanda loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is survived by two sisters, Gina (Tyler) Gressley, Roanoke, IN, Lisa (fiancé’ Adam Firks) Stratmeier, Fort Wayne, IN; two grandmothers, Ruth Krauter, Caroline Haggerty, both of Janesville, WI; four nieces and nephews, Emersyn, Dawsyn, Cora and Noah.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers: Larry Krauter and Jim Haggerty.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the donor’s choice of charity in Amanda’s memory in care of McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.
