Sharon R. (Lamkin) Cuttriss, 29, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, following a traffic accident in Elkhart County, IN.
Sharon was born on January 25, 1990, in Indianapolis, IN to Charles and Carol (Daniels) Lamkin. Her parents survive in Indianapolis, IN. Sharon married Adam M. Cuttriss on October 11, 2014, in Fort Wayne, IN at the Tin Caps Stadium. Her husband survives.
Sharon graduated from Pike High School, Indianapolis, IN in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Biology at Purdue University in 2012. In 2016, Sharon became the Parks Program Director at the Parks & Recreation Department for the City of Huntington. Prior to 2016, Sharon worked at Science Central in Fort Wayne where she started “Science on a Sphere”. Her passion was the outdoors. Sharon worked as a naturalist at Parklands of Floyds Fork Park in Louisville, KY, she gave cave tours at Spring Mill State Park and she loved to go hiking. Sharon grew up attending St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She loved her dogs Suki and Harry Potter.
Along with her husband and parents, Sharon is survived by one brother, Michael (Katie) Lamkin, Carmel, IN; two nieces, Isabelle and Andalyn Lamkin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phillip and Penny Cuttriss, Huntington, IN; and sister-in-law, Melissa Cuttriss, Indianapolis, IN.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd, Huntington, IN with Pastor Bobby Kemp officiating.
Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
