Ruth Agnes Anderson, 94, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 9:10 p.m. at St. Anne’s Community Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.

Ruth was born on August 29, 1924, in New York, NY, to Frank and Gussie (Doerr) Harmsworth. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Dennis Francis Anderson and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1985.

Ruth graduated high school in 1942 from John Adams in Queens, NY. Ruth was a Clerk for the New York Board of Education for 25 years. Since living in Huntington she has attended Archbishop Noll Memorial Chapel.

Ruth is survived by one son, James (Cindy) Anderson, Paso Robles, CA; sister-in-law, Sr. Betty Anderson, Huntington, IN; and two granddaughters, Caitlyn Anderson, San Luis Obispo, CA, and Lauren Anderson, Atascadero, CA.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis F. Anderson.

A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.

Burial will be at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY.
