Richard E. Holley

Richard E. Holley, 87, of Columbia City, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN.

   Mr. Holley was born on August 7, 1932, in Huntington, IN, to Curtis and Cecelia Holley.  Richard married Lois (Griffiths) in 1961 and she passed away in 1985.  He then married Betty (Niblick) Adams in 1986 and she preceded him in death in 2000.

Richard was a high school graduate of Huntington High School.  He served in the United States Army as a cook.  He worked as a painter and then at A& H Equipment and later retired from the Army Corps of Engineers at the Huntington Dam.  Richard loved being at his lake and fishing.

Richard is survived by two sons, Steve G. (Joyce) Holley, Michael E. Holley, both of Huntington; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Along with his wives, Lois and Betty, and his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August  28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Cleveland Township Cemetery, 7550 W St. Road 14, South Whitley, IN, 46787.
