Patrick Ramsdell

Patrick Ramsdell, 70, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Oakbrook Village, Huntington, IN.

Patrick was born in Fort Lewis, WA, on February 24, 1948.  Patrick recently lost his life partner of 38 years, Mike Stallings in 2018.

Patrick was an Artist and Chef and he had lived in Huntington, Andrews, Fort Wayne and San Francisco, CA.

Patrick is survived by his son, Ian Stallings, San Francisco, CA. Ian wanted to say the following about his Dad… I am deeply saddened to share that the day before his 71st Birthday Patrick Ramsdell passed away. I am what is left of our little immediate family now but I do not feel alone. I am grateful to all of my two Dads' community of close multigenerational friends who have been a part of our lives over the years. I am deeply grateful for my teacher, my friend, my parent Patrick.  He was a wonderful parent and I will think of him every day for the rest of my life.  I am also grateful for my Dad, Mike's family, who always made a place for Patrick and insured that our little family was just as important, and equal, to the rest of our extended family units. I know how incredibly special that has been over the last four decades not just for me personally, but for a greater society.  I know the death of these two intelligent loving men has been felt by many over the last 12 months, and will be for years to come.  

To honor the wishes of Patrick there will be no calling or services.

A private burial will be at a later date.
