Mario A. Alvizures

Mario A. Alvizures, 63, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 9:08 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at his residence. 

  Mario was born on August 3, 1955, in Carmen, Guatemala, to Juan and Maria (Albizures) Alvizures.  His father, Juan, survives.  His mother preceded him in death.  

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  He worked as a Machine Operator for Breyden Products, in Columbia City, IN.

 Along with his father, Juan, he is survived by his wife, Veronica Valdez, Huntington, IN; three brothers, Francisco Albizures, Huntington, IN, Ramiro Albizures, Apple Valley, CA, Hector Albizures, Guatemala City; four sisters, Amparo Albizures, Petrona Albizures, both of Huntington, IN, Sarah Albizures, Marina Albizures, both of Grand Junction, CO.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750, with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750, with Father Stephen Colchin presiding.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
