James D. Wall, 70, former resident of Huntington, IN passed away at his residence in Ocala, FL November 3, 2019.
James was born March 21, 1949, in Huntington to Eugene and Frances (Gurnick) Wall. He married Linda Stanley on August 17, 1968, and she survives.
Jim graduated from Huntington Catholic in 1967. He attended Purdue University and International Business College. He worked as an Accountant at Maco Corporation and Northern Indiana Packaging both of Huntington, IN.
Jim loved taking his Bronco to Silver Lake, Michigan and playing on the sand dunes with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting with his father-in-law.
Survivors in addition to his wife Linda, include a daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Hartman, Flowery Branch, GA; a son, Jamie (Ako) Wall, Greencastle, IN; a granddaughter, Kodi Snowden, Flowery Branch, GA; five sisters, Mary Machall, Fort Wayne, IN, Ruth Wall, Huntington, IN, Barbara Wall-Marshall, Whitestown, IN, Cathy (Mike) Bracht, Huntington, IN, Sarah (Steve) Wall, Columbia City, IN; two brothers, Joe Wall, Bowling Green, KY, Michael (Julie) Wall, Huntington, IN; and 23 nieces and nephews and 31 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Wall and brother-in-law, Louie Machall.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney- Hart Funeral Home, 715 North Jefferson St. Huntington, IN, 46750.
There will be one hour of additional calling at St. Mary Catholic Church on Friday, November 8, prior to the 10:00 a.m. Mass.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750, with Fr. Stephen Colchin presiding.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
