Forrest F. Kramer, Jr., 79, Roanoke, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Kramer was born on September 19. 1939, in Huntington, IN, to Forrest F. and Edith (Call) Kramer, Sr. His parents preceded him in death. Forrest married Nancy J. Daugherty on August 1, 1965, she survives and resides in Roanoke, IN.
Forrest graduated from Huntington High School in 1957 and received his BA from Huntington College and his MA from St. Francis. He was a Quality Assurance Manager at Magnavox for over 30 years. Forrest then worked at Ace Hardware for 15 years in Huntington. Forrest was a member of Faith Community Church of God and a member of the NRA.
Along with his wife of 53 years, Nancy, he is survived by two sons, Kent (Carrie) Kramer, Bowie, MD, Chad (Angie Macy) Kramer, Roanoke, IN; a sister, Donna Thompson, Huntington, IN; and one grandson, Chad A. Kramer, II “Sparky”.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Belle L. Paxson.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating.
Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, 11201 S. Marion Road – 35, Marion, IN.
