Florence Marie (Kelly) McCue

Florence Marie McCue, 89, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at her daughter’s residence.

  Mrs. McCue was born on May 18, 1929, in Copi, Chile, to Joseph and Maria (Galli) Kelly. Her parents preceded her in death.  Florence married Alfred J. McCue on January 25, 1947, in Long Island, New York.  Alfred preceded her in death on January 2, 2009. 

Mrs. McCue worked at Oxford University Press in New York and was a homemaker.  She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2689 in Huntington.

Florence is survived by four sons, James (Mary) McCue , Wilkesboro, NC, Michael McCue, Babylon, NY, Alan (Roxann) McCue, Wonder Lake, IL, Joseph (Katie) McCue, Henryville, PA; three daughters, Margaret (Joseph) Teddy, Huntington, IN, Patricia Rivera, Tobyhanna, PA,  Mary Ann (Jerry) Ferguson, Saint James, NY; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Kelly.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hours on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
