Doris Curry

Doris Curry, 86, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington, IN.

Mrs. Curry was born on January 10, 1932, in Clay County, KY, to James and Della (Gray) Scalf. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Curry married Evan Curry on April 2, 1948, he preceded her in death on July 29, 1987.

Mrs. Curry retired from Memcor in Huntington after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Apostolic Chapel in Peru, IN.

Doris is survived by three sons, Evan (Linda) Curry, Jr., Andrews, IN, Ronnie Curry, Huntington, IN, Rick (Penny) Curry, Huntington, IN; three daughters, Della Sue (Delmar) Jones, Georgetown, KY, Joyce (Tim) Liaromatis, Markle, IN, and Patty Garnett, Huntington, IN. Doris came from a big family and was one of 9 brothers and 7 sisters. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Edith Fishbaugh; two sons, Roger Scalf and James William Curry; two grandsons, Glenn Curry and Douglas Fishbaugh.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Clear Creek Community Church, 4028 West 750 North, Huntington, IN.

Funeral Services will follow the calling on Monday, June 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Clear Creek Community Church, with Pastor Brent Wedding.

Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
