Anna Mae Lippincott, 92, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mrs. Lippincott was born on May 29, 1927, in Huntington, IN to Fred J. and Gertrude (Young) Scher. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Lippincott married Jack S. Lippincott on December 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2004.
Anna was a 1945 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. She was employed at E-Systems for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality. Anna was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Anna is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Scher, Huntington, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Maurice Scher, Paul Scher, Frederick W. Scher, Norbert Scher, Bernard Scher; and one sister, Mary Margaret Casper.
Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019, at the funeral home.
Calling hours will be held and followed by the Rosary on Monday, December 16, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Stephen Colchin presiding.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Honor Flight Northeast Indiana or to the St. Mary Catholic Church Improvement Fund in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
